Frequently Asked Questions

What style of yoga do you teach?

Classes are asana (posture/movement) focused, with a little pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. I trained in Baptiste-style power yoga, but soften this a little to a strong yet mindful vinyasa in my classes. Vinyasa is a flowing practice, where movement and breath are linked.

Classes are mixed level because I give options and lots of instruction, but there will be some challenge for you, whichever stage of your yoga journey you are at!

Where do you teach?

Outdoor classes are held by the pond at Ham Common in Richmond.

Please travel by foot, bike or bus if you can. There is free on-street parking in the surrounding area if you need.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. Outdoor classes go ahead in most weathers, so make sure you will be warm/cool enough.

What should I bring?

Please bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat, if you have one. If you don't have a yoga mat you can practice on a towel or on the grass. If you have any props (such as yoga bricks or belts) feel free to bring them too.
If there is a chance of rain, I recommend bringing a towel to cover your mat or the grass to minimise slipping.
You may also want to bring some insect repellent or apply some before attending.

Can I book a private individual or group class?

Yes! I am available to teach 1-to-1 and private group classes on evenings and at weekends, both online and in-person (depending on location). Contact me to discuss your requirements with no obligation.

Will outdoor classes go ahead in bad weather?

Outdoor classes will go ahead in most weathers. Class may very occaisonally be cancelled due to heavy rain (or, for example, storms). If you have booked into a class which is subsequently cancelled, you will be notified at least 30 minutes before the start time.
You can choose to be refunded or to roll your payment over to your next class.
